Dawkins Ales New Brewery Open Day – Bristol Gold in our Cumberland Curl
We are delighted to be partners with award-winning Bristol brewery Dawkins Ales and are proud to be using their “Bristol Gold” in our “Dawkins Ale Cumberland Curl”.
On Saturday 31st October, they held an open day to celebrate the official launch of the new Dawkins Ales brewery in Easton, Bristol and we popped along to see where the magic happens and, of course, taste some great beers.
MD Glen Dawkins always wanted to get into beer. An early memory is of taking the bus into the centre of his home town of Sheffield and gazing in wonder as they passed the late-lamented Ward’s Sheaf Brewery and the excitement of the colourful pub signs en route. He’d read the names out loud, doubtless to the annoyance of fellow passengers!
Years later he started in the other side of the trade in the wine business, leaving in 2002 to set up Dawkins Taverns which now boasts five well-loved pubs in this city:-
